As a girl, we often have to hear a lot of “no” from our families. “Do not go there.” “Do not do this.” “It is not safe.” But when you have watched movies like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Queen, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Dil Chahta Hai, how can you not want to live like them? How can you not feel like flying and seeing the world on your own?
I felt the same way. One day, I decided to live my life a little differently. I went to Manali and then took the road to Leh.
Yes, I chose to go by road. Today, I am going to share my experience with you.
When I came back home, I got a lot of scolding from my mom and dad. But honestly, standing there and listening to them felt like nothing compared to the trip I had just experienced.
Shah Rukh Khan once said, “We live once, we die once, and we love once.” I think I took those words a little too seriously.
And that is where my story began. My first Manali to Leh road trip.
